The Conservative Roundtable of Texas has recognized Rep. Kyle Kacal as a “2015 Effective Conservative Lawmaker” and in doing so praised several of the pieces of legislation that Rep. Kacal author, passed, and had signed by Gov. Abbott. Included in the award recognition were bills like HB 21, which gave patients with terminal illnesses the Right to Try investigational treatments in consultation with their doctor while avoiding the red tape of the federal government.
“I am honored to be named an ‘Effective Conservative Lawmaker’ by this organization because I have worked very hard to author and also support conservative legislation in Austin. I proud that this group recognized the importance of several of the bills which I authored last session, including the Right to Try,” stated Kacal.
