Kyle Kacal named Conservation Hero for his work on private property rights

The Texas Wildlife Association (TWA) named State Representative Kyle Kacal its 2015 Conservation Hero for his work during the 84th Legislative Session. Kacal, a College Station rancher, owns and operates a dynamic hunting business on his family’s 2,400 acre ranch. As a Lifetime Member of TWA and a firm believer in sound conservation principles, Kacal was humbled by the award. “It is a great honor to work with groups like TWA to ensure that our hunting heritage is secure for future generations,” said Kacal. “We must continue to be good stewards of the land if we expect to leave something for our children’s children to enjoy.”

As a two term member of the House Environment Regulation Committee, Kacal has fought for common sense regulations that will protect the land without any unnecessary governmental bureaucracy that will bankrupt Texas companies. “If we leave environment regulation up to the Obama Administration and the EPA, Texas will become an impossible place to do business,” Kacal said. Recently appointed to the House Natural Resources Committee, Kacal has been able to fight for a landowner’s fair access to the water under his or her land. Based on his record, Kacal has been endorsed by several landowner groups including the TWA PAC, Texas & Southwestern Cattle Raisers PAC, and the Texas Farm Bureau AGFUND.
